Tokai Jazz Sound Bass Serial Numbers

Hi, I have a Tokai Explorer in a very pale orange sunburst. It has 2 zebra pick ups and a tremelo. The head is not Gibson style but more of a pointed strat style. It has the mention Original Series and the serial n° is 3030063. I wondered if anybody can date it? I suspect that it is 83 but am not really sure.
